How to Reach Lepchajagat ...

Book a taxi to Lepchajagat from New Jalpaiguri station (NJP) or Bagdogra airport (IXB). Lepchajagat is around 3 hours 15 minutes away through this 60-kilometer road.

The best approach is to take the Hill Cart Road or Rohini Road towards Kurseong, then continue up Hill Cart Road into Darjeeling, and then turn left at ghum onto the Sukhia Pokhri Road, which will eventually pass through Lepchajagat. The route between ghum and lepchajagat is 6 kilometers long, and it is a well maintained road. This road from ghum runs through dense pine forest, you will enjoy your journey.

Another option to travel is, through Mirik on your trip to Darjeeling, follow the uphill road to the Dudhia, which leads to Tingling View Point and then all the way to Mirik. This route, on the other hand, is full of tea garden and senic beauty .

From Mirik, take the Pashupati Road towards Sukhiapokhri and continue driving for about 15 km until you reach Lepchajagat. The entire journey takes around 2-3 hours depending on the traffic and road conditions. The road from Mirik to Lepchajagat is scenic and passes through lush green forests, tea gardens, and picturesque villages. It’s advisable to hire a taxi or take a shared jeep for this journey, as the road can be steep and narrow in some parts, and it’s better to have an experienced driver who knows the route well.
